About Us

The Hearts Behind Mercy Seat

We are united by purpose and moved by compassion. Mercy Seat isn’t built on resumes or titles—it’s built on prayer, obedience, and grace. This ministry began with a simple yes to God’s call. Each of us brings a unique story, deep compassion, and a heart to see girls walk in freedom.

Our Vision

To save lives by helping young women rediscover their true identity through a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. We long to see a generation restored—girls free from shame, alive in hope, and walking in the truth of who God says they are.

Our Mission

To stand in the gap where the world has failed—offering healing, discipleship, and the love of Christ to girls struggling with the pressures of social media, identity loss, and hopelessness.

Our Story

Mercy Seat was born out of brokenness, love, and fierce hope. At her lowest moment, Susan watched her daughter spiral into darkness—a place of deep shame, regret, and hopelessness brought on by a world that had no answers for the pain social media can bring. With nowhere to turn, her struggle became the spark.

That spark grew when Angela stepped in with unwavering faith. When others questioned, “Who are you to do this?” Angela reminded Susan: “You are a child of God. That’s who you are.” That simple truth lit the fire. And from that moment, Mercy Seat was born—a safe place for girls who feel lost and defined by their worst mistake to encounter healing, identity, and the mercy of God.

What We Do Now

Mercy Seat is a nonprofit ministry walking with young women in their darkest moments. Through discipleship, prayer, mentoring, and Christ-centered resources, we remind them of who they truly are in Christ—loved, seen, and worthy of grace.

We also come alongside parents, equipping them with tools and guidance to respond with calm, compassion, and hope when their daughters are in crisis. Because when shame strikes, a parent’s response can save a life.

In addition, we offer curriculum and workshops for schools, churches, and community groups—practical, Christ-centered tools to help adults recognize warning signs and walk with teens in love and truth.

Our Future Vision

Mercy Seat has grown into a nonprofit with a bold dream: to build a Christ-centered ranch where young women can step away from the digital chaos, rediscover their worth, hear the truth of who they are, and walk in freedom. This will be a place of digital detox, discipleship, community, and restoration—a refuge where shame loses its grip and hope takes root. Here, girls will experience the simple healing rhythms of creation—walking trails, tending gardens, and even spending time with animals, from chickens to horses. In the quiet of nature, they’ll learn to breathe again, unhindered by the noise of the world. Until then, we are faithfully doing the work right where we are, walking with girls and families in crisis, and inviting others to partner with us in making this vision a reality.
